Relationship to other documents. This Policy is incorporated into the Aletheia Terms of Use. The Terms govern contractual matters, the Privacy Policy governs personal-information handling, and this Policy governs copyright and automated-access matters.
1. Copyright
Unless otherwise identified, Aletheia’s software, interface, designs, original text, original compilations, documentation, Jelly character, logos, and other original materials are owned by Aletheia or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
You may view and use public pages for ordinary personal, educational, or internal purposes. You may not copy, frame, mirror, republish, sell, distribute, modify, or create derivative collections from Aletheia materials without permission, except for rights preserved by applicable law.
This Policy does not claim ownership of third-party source material, user-submitted material, facts, ideas, or lawful quotations. Third-party material remains subject to its owner’s rights and terms.
2. Automated access and scraping
Unless Aletheia has given written permission or an applicable API agreement expressly allows it, you may not use a bot, crawler, scraper, spider, agent, script, headless browser, data-mining system, or other automated process to:
- access, scan, enumerate, scrape, harvest, extract, copy, download, cache other than ordinary transient caching by your browser or network, mirror, or archive Aletheia pages, endpoints, assets, source code, metadata, outputs, or datasets;
- bypass robots directives, rate limits, authentication, paywalls, technical controls, or access restrictions;
- create or populate a competing database, index, archive, benchmark, monitoring feed, or commercial dataset;
- collect personal information or infer profiles from Aletheia users;
- use Aletheia materials or outputs to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve an AI or machine-learning system, including through an agent, contractor, affiliate, or downstream recipient acting on your behalf or at your direction; or
- create a service that reproduces, substitutes for, or systematically republishes Aletheia functionality or content.
The prohibitions in this Section are subject to the savings clause in Section 4.
2A. Reservation of text and data mining rights
Aletheia reserves its rights in relation to text and data mining so far as applicable law allows a rightsholder to do so, including under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 as implemented in each EU Member State. This reservation is not a claim that every text and data mining use is unlawful. It does not restrict the research exception in Article 3 of that Directive, and it does not restrict any use or exception that applicable law makes non-waivable.
Aletheia expresses this reservation in machine-readable form using the W3C TDM Reservation Protocol. The public website returned HTTP 200 with the response header tdm-reservation: 1 in the last verified header check on September 2, 2026. Aletheia therefore claims the reservation on the public website and associated services, subject to rechecking the headers and robots directives after future deployments.
3. Ordinary and permitted access
Ordinary browser use and accessibility technology are allowed within their proper scope. Search indexing is allowed only when it respects our robots directives at https://aletheia-ai.io/robots.txt and reasonable crawl limits. A published robots directive is not a license to ignore rate limits, privacy restrictions, authentication, copyright, this Policy, or the Terms of Use.
Aletheia has not published a security or vulnerability-disclosure process. Until one is published, security testing against our systems requires prior written authorization. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, write to [email protected].
4. APIs, enforcement, and savings clause
Aletheia-authorized APIs may be used only under their written documentation, authentication, rate limits, attribution rules, and data-retention restrictions. API access does not grant permission to create permanent copies, expose non-public information, or combine responses into an unauthorized dataset.
We may throttle, block, suspend, revoke access, preserve evidence, and pursue available remedies when automated access or copying violates this Policy, the Terms of Use, applicable law, or a source provider’s restrictions. We may update technical controls and robots directives without notice.
Nothing in this Policy prevents lawful fair use, fair dealing, quotation, accessibility, security research, the exercise of governmental authority, interoperability, or other non-waivable rights. Those rights must still be exercised responsibly, without bypassing security and without exposing personal information.
5. Copyright complaints and repeat infringers
Aletheia has not designated an agent with the U.S. Copyright Office under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2) and does not claim eligibility for the section 512 safe harbors. We still receive and act on copyright complaints, and the contact below is the address for them.
To report a good-faith claim of copyright infringement, send a written notice containing:
- your physical or electronic signature, as a person authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it;
- contact information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
Send notices to:
Shelby Benkard Rose, copyright contact, operating under the trade name Aletheia 1280 Lexington Ave FRNT 2 #1085 New York, NY 10028 [email protected]
We may request additional information and may forward a notice to the relevant account holder where we are legally permitted to do so. A notice or counter-notification that knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, can carry legal liability.
Counter-notification. If your material was removed or disabled and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notification containing your physical or electronic signature, identification of the material and the location where it appeared before it was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, and your name, address, and telephone number. The counter-notification must also state that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Aletheia may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice. Where we act on a counter-notification, we may restore the material not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after we receive it, unless the person who sent the original notice first tells us they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the activity.
Repeat infringers. We maintain and reasonably implement a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers, and we inform users of that policy through this Policy and the Terms of Use.
6. Third-party and platform content
Where Aletheia displays or connects to content from a third-party platform, the account holder retains the rights and controls that the platform and applicable law provide. Nothing in this Policy authorizes downloading, re-uploading, stripping watermarks, removing copyright-management information, or systematically copying that content. If Aletheia later offers a TikTok connection, users of that connection must follow TikTok’s applicable terms, developer policies, and authorization limits.
