Last updated: September 7, 2026.
Provider: Shelby Benkard Rose, operating under the trade name Aletheia, 1280 Lexington Ave FRNT 2 #1085, New York, NY 10028. Aletheia is a trade name, not a separate company, and Shelby Benkard Rose is the contracting party under these Terms. Legal contact: [email protected].
These Terms govern access to https://aletheia-ai.io/, https://tools.aletheia-ai.io/, and Aletheia’s fact-based intelligence tools. The corporate site and tools site currently operate as separate hosts, so their routing and technical controls may differ.
Related documents. These Terms incorporate the Aletheia Privacy Policy and the Aletheia Copyright & Automated Access Policy. If those documents conflict with these Terms, these Terms govern contractual matters, the Privacy Policy governs personal-information handling, and the Copyright & Automated Access Policy governs copyright and automated-access matters.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
Where the service presents an acceptance control, selecting it means you agree to these Terms. If you use the service without an acceptance control, your use is subject to these Terms to the extent applicable law permits. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement where you live. The service is intended for adults, it is not directed to children under 13, and you may not use it if you are under 18. We do not ask for or verify your age.
2. Permitted use
You may use the service for lawful personal, internal, educational, or business purposes consistent with the displayed instructions, these Terms, and any service-specific terms. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and permissions associated with content and URLs you submit.
3. Results are informational
Aletheia tools are informational. Results, summaries, classifications, calculations, and displayed material may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. They are not legal, medical, financial, security, or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for independent judgment. Verify important matters against primary sources and qualified professionals.
4. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- violate law, another person’s rights, or a source website’s terms or access controls;
- submit malware, credentials, secrets, unlawful material, or content you lack the right to use;
- interfere with the service, defeat rate limits, probe or bypass security, or access non-public areas;
- scrape, crawl, data-mine, bulk-download, mirror, republish, or systematically copy the service or its content except as Section 5 expressly allows;
- use automated access to build a competing database, dataset, index, benchmark, archive, or training corpus;
- use Aletheia content, outputs, interfaces, or source compilations to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve a machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model without Aletheia’s prior written permission, including through an agent, contractor, affiliate, or downstream recipient acting on your behalf or at your direction;
- misrepresent your identity, affiliation, authorization, or the origin of content;
- use the service to send spam, harassment, fraud, impersonation, or unlawful surveillance; or
- circumvent usage limits, access restrictions, attribution requirements, or technical measures.
The prohibitions above do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived, including applicable fair-use, fair-dealing, accessibility, or interoperability rights.
5. Automated access
Search engines may access publicly available pages only when they comply with Aletheia’s robots directives at https://aletheia-ai.io/robots.txt and https://tools.aletheia-ai.io/robots.txt and with reasonable crawl limits. The tools host currently operates as a separate application, and its routing and response headers may differ from the corporate site. Accessibility tools, ordinary browser functions, and Aletheia-authorized APIs are permitted within their intended scope. User-directed AI agents are permitted only when you explicitly initiate each task, their proposed actions are non-binding and reviewable by you before submission, they use an Aletheia-authorized API or ordinary browser functionality, and they do not take autonomous action or make decisions in legal, medical, financial, employment, housing, insurance, safety, or other high-impact matters; you remain responsible for reviewing their proposed actions and results, and continuous, unattended, high-volume, security-bypassing, or otherwise non-user-directed automated access requires prior written permission.
6. Accounts and security
You must keep account credentials confidential and promptly report unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account except where applicable law provides otherwise.
7. Connected third-party accounts
Aletheia does not currently offer a connection to any third-party account, including TikTok. If you connect a third-party account once we offer one, you authorize Aletheia to access only the data and scopes you approve and only for the disclosed service purpose. You may revoke that authorization through the third party’s controls where they are available. The third party’s terms and privacy practices also apply.
If Aletheia later offers a TikTok connection, it will request only approved scopes, obtain the authorization TikTok requires, and describe the exact data in the Privacy Policy before the connection is offered. Aletheia is not TikTok and does not claim to be sponsored, endorsed, or operated by TikTok.
8. Content and intellectual property
You retain rights in content you submit. You grant Aletheia only the limited, non-exclusive permission needed to host, transmit, process, and return that content to provide the requested service, plus the permission needed to secure the service, troubleshoot it, and comply with law. This permission extends to Aletheia’s service providers solely as needed to deliver the service, and it ends when we no longer need it to provide the service or to meet a legal obligation.
Aletheia and its licensors retain all rights in the service, software, designs, trademarks, documentation, and original compilations. You may not remove proprietary notices or use Aletheia’s name, Jelly character, logos, or marks as though Aletheia sponsors or endorses you without written permission.
We do not use content you submit to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models except as stated in the Privacy Policy.
9. Third-party services and sources
The service may link to or retrieve information from third parties. Aletheia does not control those services, their availability, their accuracy, their terms, or their privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their terms.
10. Availability and changes
We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue a feature, including to protect the service or comply with law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every source, platform, or integration will remain supported.
11. Disclaimer and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aletheia is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities, arising from use of the service.
Limit on liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aletheia’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid Aletheia for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and nothing in them limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.
12. Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Aletheia against third-party claims arising from content or URLs you submit, from your use of the service in breach of these Terms, or from your violation of law or of a third party’s rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Aletheia’s own misconduct, or where the obligation is unenforceable under applicable consumer law.
13. Notices
We may give you notices about the service, your account, security, and these Terms electronically, by posting them in the service or sending them to the email address associated with your account or your waitlist sign-up. Send legal notices to Aletheia at the address in Section 17 and to [email protected].
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable advance notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms to the extent applicable law permits, and material changes may require your affirmative agreement. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, legal compulsion, or material breach. Provisions concerning ownership, the content permission, prohibited use, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and dispute terms survive termination to the extent necessary to give them effect.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by New York law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes may be brought in a court with jurisdiction, including a court in New York State, subject to applicable law. Nothing here limits a consumer’s mandatory rights, access to a legally required forum, or any right that cannot lawfully be waived. These Terms do not include an arbitration agreement or a class-action waiver.
17. General and contact
If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent, and we may assign them in connection with a sale or transfer of the business or its assets. These Terms, together with the documents they incorporate, are the entire agreement about the service. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
